Tree House

A graceful tree was our inspiration and northern focus point. Colour was limited to the reflection of light, black, natural timber and stone with large black window frames accentuating the view to the garden and inspired by the client’s connection to New York. Reflection of light was intended to create a vibration of light in the space, a whimsy. Skylights placed strategically create shafts of light which move throughout the day and give movement to the space, almost like a reverberation.
